Africa Eye Tours-Central Region

Image
I had yet another amazing adventure with Africa Eye Tours. This leg of our tour went to Cape Coast, Kakum National Park, and Hans Cottage. The beauty of the Central Region is unparalleled. I got to thoroughly enjoy nature and history at the same time. Upon arriving in Cape Coast, our group checked into Oasis Beach Resort. This beachfront resort was the perfect mix of comfort and convenience. I had a beachfront room with a balcony and a luxurious panoramic shower. Also, there is a restaurant and bar located on the grounds for a quick bite to eat. The resort takes both local currency and USD so it is your choice as to what currency you pay in. After checking into the resort, our group headed over to Cape Coast Castle which was just steps away. This large white castle was full of history and intrigue. Africa Eye Tours- Kumasi, Ghana

Wow, wow, wow! Africa Eye Tour company NEVER disappoints! I was blessed with the opportunity to visit a city named Kumasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana. Kumasi is located about four and a half hours from the capital city of Accra. This area is home to the Manhyia Palace, Zoological Gardens, and Anokye Sword to just name a few attractions this bustling city offers. The atmosphere was relaxed, yet purposeful. Our group lodged at the CSIR guest house located on the grounds of Kumasi Technical University. This bed and breakfast felt like a home away from home. The grounds were peaceful and situated away from the noise of the main road. The exterior was surrounded by green trees and serenity. Inside you will find the rooms to be cozy and neat. Likewise, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Not to mention that the hot br

Traveling is beyond amazing. It has literarily shaped my life. I have been traveling ever since I can remember.  I recall catching the Greyhound bus with my mother at the age of six. We often  journeyed to see my Grandmother who lived in a neighboring state. It was so much fun packing the small pink suitcase my father gifted me. This suitcase was very special to me. It was the first one I owned. For some strange reason, my Father thought it was a good idea to take a black permanent marker and write my name on the bag. There is no way my suitcase would go missing without people being able to identify who the true owner was! I have a wonderful admiration for travel. It is ingrained in my history. I am always looking forward to my next vacation. I have traveled to different countries and each experience is invaluable. When you step outside of your comfort zone, meet different people, and encounter different cultures it enriches you. There is a whole world out there just waiting to be enjo
